Manitowoc County is home to many amazing public libraries and a host of enthusiastic local history organizations. Our Research Library contains fantastic resources for genealogists and researchers. You may be looking for the burial site of a Civil War soldier, a photo of an ancestor, information on your property, or want to learn about aluminum or ship building.  

 

Research requests need to be made in written form. A form can be downloaded below and submitted to the MCHS Archives for research. Whatever your interests may be, please contact our Research Library today to make an appointment to visit at (920) 684-4445.  Appointments are necessary to utilize our research materials, as our library is staffed through volunteer effort.

 

Please note that while we do not charge for research requests, donations are extremely important as we work to continue preserving our stories for generations to come.
