MCHS FAMILY NIGHT SERIES


Bucket Brigade

 

Thursday, June 15; 5 to 7 pm

 

During our June Family Night we will have local fire departments participate in bucket brigade contests, and they will be recruiting our visitors to assist them!  Learn about the roles of fire departments throughout our history and meet members of our local departments. 

Civil "Color" War Reenactment

 

Thursday, July 20; 5 to 7 pm

 

During our July Family Night we will also have our Curiosity Fair, where you can discover and create with the world around you.  Our family night activity will feature a color war reenactment of a Civil War battle.  Participants will learn about the Manitowoc Guards, its members, and how they fought in the war effort.

5 pm - Join us for Family Night!

5 - 5:30 pm: Enlist in the Manitowoc Guards

5:30 pm: Train for a "Color" War*

5:45 pm: Rules overview

6:00 pm: War!

*Wear a white shirt and finish the war plastered in color!

Join us for our Family Night Series for a whole new way to explore the Museum. Each Family Night offers something new to see and do.

Family Night Series Programs are held Thursday evenings in June, July, and August, from 5 to 7 pm.

Admission is $10 for adults, $7 for children age 5 to 17, under age 5 is free.  MCHS Members are admitted free.

Do you have what it takes to be a pioneer? 

During our August Family Night you will travel through various pioneer challenges to see if you have what it takes to be a Manitowoc County pioneer.  Enter as an individual or a family team. Prizes awarded for best pioneer skills.
